What do we have to do to get fit and healthy? Is it just eat less and move more? Well it is that but it's so much more than that! Read on to find out secrets for sluggish weight loss, slow metabolisms and weight stall over 40.


Learning the Hard Way


I found out the hard way about things going South after mid forties and although I'd heard of what can happen, I didn't take it seriously.


From the age of 47 I found I just couldn't lose weight as easily or at all compared to my early 40's or late 30's and while I would love to just blame 'age' as a factor I believe there is more to it than that.


My weight loss struggles stemmed from 3 things:

  1. Not consistently maintaining fitness levels including muscle tone

  2. Eating a high starch, plant-based diet

  3. Diet and age related hormonal imbalances
